Petchem industry boosts safety, productivity

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Iran's National Petrochemical Company (NPC) and the Ministry of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding their relations.

The MoU, which was signed by the NPC CEO and the Deputy Minister of Labor Relations of the Ministry of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, will focus on the use of their abilities and capacities in the fields of research, education, promotion and development in order to improve productivity and safety, and ultimately increase production in the country.

The Deputy Minister of Labor Relations of the Ministry of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, Ali Hossein Raiti Fard, highlighted the importance of the safety and protection of the country's human resources and material capital in his remarks at the signing ceremony.

Raiti Fard also emphasized the high level of safety and health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards of Iran's petrochemical industry.

"The field of labor relations is especially responsible for the safety and protection of the country's human resources and material capital," said Raiti Fard. "The Research Center of the Ministry of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare is trying to promote the culture of work and safety in the country."

The cooperation agreement will focus on various aspects of technical protection and occupational health, accident management and damage control.

These include the production of indigenous knowledge in the field, preparation of regulations and instructions, design and implementation of empowerment programs through specialized training, and identification and networking of experts and think tanks.

Other aspects of the agreement include joint research, observation and monitoring of processes, consulting services in technical protection and occupational health, and accreditation and validation of various departments.

The agreement also calls for the formation of technology cores and the utilization of the capacity of knowledge-based companies to produce indigenous knowledge and manufacture equipment.

The signing of the memorandum reflects the commitment of the Iranian administration to improving safety and productivity in the petrochemical industry, which is a key sector of the country's economy.

The collaboration between NPC and the Ministry of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare is expected to have a positive impact on the development of the industry and the economy as a whole.
