The council, chaired by Payam Barzegar, the CEO of the Petrochemical
Special Economic Zone Organization, discussed the need for transparency in the
performance of the petrochemical industry in the field of social
responsibilities for the people.
During the meeting, it was reported that in the calendar year 1400,
the amount of 261.3 billion tomans was approved for social responsibility
outside the "Policy Council Plans" according to the report of the
Operations Company.
Until mid-1401, the amount of 105.5 billion tomans was secured by the
companies of the region, and according to the latest report of the
Non-Industrial Operations Company, this amount reached 188.2 billion tomans by
the end of 1401.
In 1401, the amount of the strategic council's non-industry budget
reached 420 billion tomans with a growth of 61%. However, a detailed report on
the status of the projects and their progress and current costs was not
available, and the Non-Industrial Operations Company and the Policy Council had
not submitted a report to the Strategic Council of Petrochemical Companies.
The Supreme Council of Social Responsibility of Petrochemical
Industries has now approved a budget of 800 billion tomans for 1402.
In addition, the appointment of an inspector to monitor the implementation
of projects and the financial performance of the Strategic Council was
approved.
Payam Barzegar also proposed revising the strategic council bylaws
with a transparency approach and determining the exact role of various factors
to increase the effectiveness of the implementation of strategic council
projects.
The council also proposed the precise determination of the criteria
for approving projects at the level of the country, province and city.
