Iran, Kenya Could Collaborate in Petchem Sector, President Says

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Iran's President highlighted the potential for collaboration between Iran and Kenya in various fields, including petrochemicals, agriculture, fisheries, and science and technology.

In a joint press conference during his visit to Kenya, President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi expressed his satisfaction with the trip to Africa and Kenya, stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran views African countries as nations with great potential, capacity, talented human resources, material and spiritual resources, as well as natural and mineral resources.

President Raisi emphasized that despite all the threats and sanctions, the Islamic Republic of Iran, through the blessings of the Islamic Revolution, the blood of the martyrs, and the guidance of the wise leadership of the Islamic Revolution, has made progress in various economic, scientific, and technological domains. Today, Iran is an advanced and technology-ready country, prepared to share its experiences with Kenya and its people.

Regarding Iran's expertise and valuable achievements in the fields of petrochemicals, agriculture, fisheries, and science and technology, the President stated that another area for potential collaboration between the two countries is the health sector and medical equipment.

President Raisi underscored that there are no obstacles to the development of bilateral relations, and this provides a suitable opportunity for expanding cooperation in various sectors. He expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by the President and the government of Kenya, expressing hope that this visit would be a turning point in the development of bilateral relations and cooperation with African countries, ultimately reaching an acceptable level of bilateral relations.
