IME Witnesses Over 587,000 Tons of Polymer, Chemical Products Traded

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- During the month of Tir, 1402, a total of 422,963 tons of various polymer materials and 164,147 tons of chemical products were traded on Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME).

 

 

Iran Mercantile Exchange reported that a staggering 11,117,938 tons of different goods and products, along with 170 vehicles, were traded in the physical floor during the fourth month of 1402 which began on March 21, valued at 117,501 billion Toman. Cement, iron ore, steel, and sponge iron dominated the industrial and mining sector, while bitumen, vacuum bottom, and polymer materials topped the petrochemical and petroleum products section.

Further analyzing the transactions during Tir 1402, a total of 1,995,334 tons of goods and products, valued at more than 36,668 billion Toman, were traded in both the domestic and export markets in the oil and petrochemical sector.

In the oil and petrochemical sector, the detailed breakdown of trades during Tir 1402 is as follows:

·         589,591 tons of various types of bitumen

·         567,000 tons of vacuum bottom

·         422,963 tons of different polymer materials

·         187,000 tons of lube cut

·         164,147 tons of chemical products

·         33,215 tons of sulfur

·         17,006 tons of oil

·         16,068 tons of petroleum products

·         1,345 tons of moisture insulation

·         790 tons of gases and feedstock

On the other hand, in the industrial and mining sector, 8,893,677 tons of goods and products, along with 170 vehicles, were traded during Tir 1402, valued at more than 77,626 billion Toman.

The detailed breakdown of trades in the industrial and mining sector during Tir 1402 is as follows:

·         4,603,934 tons of cement

·         1,979,709 tons of iron ore

·         1,366,709 tons of steel

·         906,200 tons of sponge iron

·         62,625 tons of aluminum

·         52,641 tons of copper

·         42,550 tons of zinc

·         2,000 tons of coke

·         820 tons of molybdenum concentrate

·         550 tons of cast iron

·         75 tons of precious metal concentrates

·         170 vehicles

Additionally, 1,200 kilograms of saffron, valued at 45.8 billion Toman, were traded in the agricultural floor.

In the secondary floor, 228,925 tons of various goods and products, valued at 3,160 billion Toman, were traded during the month of Tir this year.
