Representatives
of Venezuela's petrochemical company met with managers of National
Petrochemical Company today on the sidelines of the Iran Plast exhibition and
continued another part of their talks to revive the petrochemical industry of
this country.
Javad Owji,
Minister of Petroleum, had said in June during his trip to Venezuela: “So far,
more than 2.8 million pieces and Iranian goods related to oil refineries have
been exported to Venezuela and a significant part of the idle refining capacity
of this country's refineries has been revived, also after the refinery sector,
we went to the petrochemical complexes of this country that had stopped working
due to sanctions. This country has more than 12 million tons of production
capacity for petrochemical products such as ammonia, urea and polyethylene.”
He said: “We
hope that by relying on the capabilities of Iranian companies in the field of
technical and engineering services, catalysts and technical knowledge, we can
activate the potential capacities of this country's petrochemical complexes
like its oil refineries in a participatory manner and offer the products of
these complexes in international markets.”
The 17th Iran
Plast International Exhibition, with the approach of developing the value
chain, supporting domestic production and boosting domestic manufacturing, will
be held from September 17 to 20 at Tehran Permanent International Fairground.
