Saudi Ambassador Explores Investment Opportunities at Iran Plast Exhibition

TEHRAN (NIPNA) - During a visit to the Iran Plast exhibition, the Deputy Minister of Oil and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company of Iran presented investment opportunities in Iran's petrochemical industry to the Saudi Arabian Ambassador.

Morteza Shahmirzaei, in a meeting with Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anzi, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Iran, who visited the Iran Plast exhibition for the second time, stated that Iran and Saudi Arabia, as two major regional powers with vast oil and gas resources, have the potential to expand their cooperation.

He added that Iran's petrochemical industry has achieved significant milestones and is on a path of development. Iran is ready to collaborate with major companies such as Aramco and Sabic.

The CEO of the National Petrochemical Company emphasized their delight in hosting the Saudi Ambassador for the second time at the seventeenth Iran Plast exhibition. He noted that the two countries are close friends and allies with no boundaries to their common cooperation.

Shahmirzaei continued by highlighting the highly favorable capacities within Iran's knowledge-based sectors, domestic manufacturers, project implementers, and operators of petrochemical projects, expressing readiness to cooperate with Saudi companies.

Furthermore, he mentioned the excellent investment opportunities available in Iran's petrochemical industry. Iran is prepared to provide these opportunities to Sabic and Aramco. Additionally, the diverse range of petrochemical products, goods, and equipment used in the industry, manufactured by Iranian producers, can contribute to mutual collaboration.

This meeting at the Iran Plast exhibition underscores the potential for increased economic cooperation between Iran and Saudi Arabia, particularly in the booming petrochemical sector.
