This historic accord, inked today during the 17th edition of the Iran
Plast International Exhibition, marks a pioneering step toward minimizing human
risks and equipment hazards.
The agreement, which focuses on workplace environmental safety utilizing
AI-powered surveillance camera image processing, was signed by Mr. Morteza
Shahmirzaei, CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, Mr. Mansour Bozorgmehr,
Deputy for Technology and International Affairs at the RIPI, and Mr. Mahmoud
Amin-Nejad, CEO of Bidboland Gas Refinery.
In line with their digital transformation and smart automation
initiatives, this project falls within the realm of Machine Vision technology.
Through Machine Vision, the goal is to significantly reduce risks associated
with industrial operations.
One of the key advantages of these intelligent devices is the reduction
of human errors and their capacity for 24/7 surveillance—a marked improvement
over conventional camera systems. This collaborative effort represents a forward-looking
commitment to advancing safety measures within the oil and gas industry in the
Gulf region.
