Speaking at the conclusion of the 17th International Iran Plast
Exhibition, Shahmirzai revealed that dozens of official and unofficial
agreements and memoranda of understanding had been signed between Iranian and
foreign companies during the event.
He noted that one of the significant achievements of this year's
exhibition was a twentyfold increase in the participation of foreign companies
compared to the previous edition. However, due to spatial limitations, only 210
foreign companies were selected for participation through a selection process.
Shahmirzai also announced the introduction of new petrochemical grades
as another major achievement of the 17th Iran Plast Exhibition.
He highlighted that despite certain sanctions-related constraints, 20
official contracts and dozens of unofficial agreements had been signed between
Iranian and foreign producers and companies.
The Deputy Minister of Petroleum for Petrochemical Affairs emphasized
the scale of contracts and agreements reached during the 17th Iran Plast
Exhibition, declaring it as a first-rate diplomatic accomplishment.
Shahmirzai further stated that coinciding with the 60th anniversary of
the petrochemical industry in Iran, 12 petrochemical projects are set to become
operational in the year 2023, with some already in operation since the
beginning of the year.
