TEHRAN (NIPNA) - President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi extended his ongoing oversight of executive bodies by visiting the central headquarters of the Ministry of Petroleum on Monday.

Raisi, as part of the continued process of monitoring executive entities, arrived at the Ministry of Petroleum's central building today to engage with its managerial cadre. This visit entailed a thorough review of the institution's performance report, during which significant directives and suggestions were provided to enhance both the qualitative and quantitative aspects of the ministry's operations.

The President had previously attended the Ministry on the 5th of Aban, 1400, to assess the operational status of fuel distribution stations nationwide and address disruptions within the intelligent fuel system, underscoring the significance of these investigations at the Ministry of Petroleum.

In a parallel effort, Raisi had actively participated in a meeting at the National Iranian Gas Company's Dispatching Management Center in Dey Month of the previous year, contributing to the Winter Fuel Supply Task Force.

Earlier this year, following a statement comprising five key points sent by Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Parliament Speaker, conveying appreciation from 220 representatives for the Ministry's actions, Raisi expressed gratitude in a letter, acknowledging the Ministry's achievements and services.

The five highlighted areas of acknowledgment included:

  1. Achievement of crude oil and petroleum byproduct export targets set in the 1401 budget law.
  2. Commencement of Phase Two of the Abadan Petro-refinery in accordance with directives from the Supreme Leader's office.
  3. Ensuring stable supply of the country's liquefied gas during the 1401 winter season, preventing household gas disruptions and power plant shutdowns.
  4. Adequate gasoline supply in the past year and during high traffic periods, maintaining order at fuel stations.
  5. Commencement and operation of Phase 14 of the South Pars gas field and implementation of NGPL projects, reducing gas losses and gas flaring in line with directives from the Supreme Leader's office.

Simultaneously, 226 members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly had expressed appreciation on the 28th of Ordibehesht last year for the efforts of Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji and the oil industry personnel.

This continued engagement of President Raisi with the Ministry of Petroleum signifies an ongoing commitment to ensuring effective and efficient governance across vital sectors of the Iranian economy.
