Speaking at the inaugural meeting of the Petrochemical Industry Policy
Council on Tuesday, Abbaszadeh highlighted that a structured approach to
organizing conferences, exhibitions, and events could curb the inefficiencies
of scattered activities and deliver better outcomes.
"The cohesion and alignment among stakeholders can pave the way
for the successful organization of planned events marking the 60th anniversary
of Iran's petrochemical industry," Abbaszadeh said.
He emphasized the need for a unified strategy to showcase the
industry’s achievements and foster its growth.
The deputy minister underlined that as a facilitator in the government’s
seventh development plan, NPC aims to finalize a strategic document defining
the roles of stakeholders.
“With enhanced unity and coordination, the industry can take more
decisive steps toward development,” he added.
Abbaszadeh also called for collaboration among petrochemical holdings
and companies under NPC’s guidance to ensure integrated planning for the
sector's future events. This includes targeted initiatives to commemorate the
industry’s six-decade milestone.
At the start of the session, Mohammad Maqareh, acting head of NPC’s
public relations department, outlined key themes for the 60th-anniversary
celebrations. The events, planned to span a year and take place across various
regions of the country, will highlight the sector’s milestones and innovations.
Representatives from major petrochemical holdings also shared their
perspectives on the proposed plans. The meeting concluded with a decision to
hold regular sessions with public relations managers of petrochemical companies
and holdings. The aim is to finalize a cohesive calendar of events for review
and approval by senior executives.
The petrochemical industry, a cornerstone of Iran’s economy, is
seeking to project a unified front as it commemorates its legacy and charts its
future development.
