TEHRAN (NIPNA) – A high-level meeting chaired by Iran's Deputy Peroleum Minister and the CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) has been held to assess the status of the Mamasani and Kazerun petrochemical projects.

The session aimed to determine the fate of these stalled projects.

Key officials in attendance included NPC CEO Hassan Abbaszadeh, Omid Nasibi, parliamentary representative for Mamasani and Rostamabad, and Gholamreza Dehqan, Kazerun's MP and a member of the Energy Committee of Parliament.

The meeting also saw the participation of Rashid Ghanai, CEO of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Investment Group, and Seyyed Ali Shahcheraghi, Head of Legal Affairs at the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Holding Company. Both executives shared insights and perspectives on advancing the projects.

The stalled Mamasani and Kazerun projects have been a focal point in Iran’s strategy to expand its downstream petrochemical capabilities.

The review comes as officials seek to address lingering delays and explore pathways for their completion.

No specific resolutions were announced following the meeting, but stakeholders emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts to overcome financial and logistical challenges.
