TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Iran’s Deputy Minister of Petroleum and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), Hassan Abbaszadeh, has appointed Mohammadreza Motiri as the acting head of the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone (PSEZ).

In his official decree, Abbaszadeh highlighted Motiri’s dedication, expertise, and valuable experience, urging him to prioritize key objectives and foster sustainable development in the region.

Key Objectives Outlined in the Decree:

·         Employee Development: Enhancing the skills of employees through scientific management and a strategic approach.

·         Constructive Collaboration: Strengthening relationships with regional officials and subsidiary company managers to improve local conditions.

·         Investment Promotion: Creating opportunities to attract investments, especially in downstream and knowledge-based industries.

·         Problem-Solving for Industries: Addressing challenges faced by local industries and ensuring the provision of necessary infrastructure.

·         Social Responsibility: Maximizing the potential of the Strategic Council to meet the region’s infrastructural and cultural needs.

·         Infrastructure and Safety: Developing essential infrastructure while ensuring compliance with safety and defense standards.

·         Asset Protection: Safeguarding organizational assets in collaboration with security and law enforcement agencies.

·         Streamlining Operations: Managing regional air, sea, and land gateways and facilitating economic and customs interactions among stakeholders.

Abbaszadeh expressed confidence in Motiri’s ability to lead the organization in alignment with national petrochemical policies and initiatives.

In a separate message, Abbaszadeh thanked Payam Barzegar, the outgoing head, for his dedicated service to the PSEZ.

The Petrochemical Special Economic Zone plays a pivotal role in advancing Iran’s petrochemical industry, with an emphasis on balanced growth, value chain integration, and fostering economic development in the region.
