In his statement, Abbaszadeh celebrated the achievements of Iran's
petrochemical industry, describing it as a pillar of the country’s economy and
a source of national pride. He commended the unwavering dedication of
engineers, specialists, and workers, who have transformed the sector into a
globally recognized force.
"The petrochemical industry, as a cornerstone of the oil and gas
value chain, plays a pivotal role in creating value-added products and reducing
reliance on raw exports," Abbaszadeh said. "Its growth has not only
met domestic industrial and manufacturing needs but also strengthened non-oil
exports and balanced the nation's trade portfolio."
Highlighting the industry’s role in global markets, Abbaszadeh
underscored its contributions to Iran’s standing in the international economy
and the need to align with global advancements. "Sustainable development,
optimal resource utilization, environmental stewardship, and innovation in
smart petrochemicals are essential steps to ensure competitiveness and
leadership in the evolving energy landscape," he stated.
The NPC chief called on industry leaders and professionals to enhance
collaboration and focus on research and development, paving the way for a
brighter future. He also expressed gratitude to the Iranian people for their
trust and support, which have bolstered the sector’s growth.
"I hope that through collective effort, we can witness greater
prosperity in the petrochemical industry, contributing to economic strength and
the well-being of our nation," Abbaszadeh concluded.
Petrochemical Industry Day, celebrated annually on December 28,
reflects the importance of this strategic sector in Iran’s economic and
