TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Hassan Abbaszadeh, Deputy Petroleum Minister and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), appointed Hassan Alimorad as Acting Director of Planning and Development at NPC through an official decree.

The decree emphasized Alimorad’s commitment, expertise, and valuable experience, entrusting him with key responsibilities to drive the strategic objectives of NPC.

Key Duties and Objectives:

1.       Sustainable Development Strategy: Formulate sustainable development strategies aligned with the industry's vision and government policies.

2.       Development Plans: Collaborate on designing development plans for the petrochemical industry, focusing on non-governmental sectors and leveraging national advantages, market opportunities, and new technologies.

3.       Long-term Planning: Draft long-term and five-year development plans for the petrochemical sector.

4.       Oversight: Monitor the private sector's performance in managing production units and ongoing projects.

5.       Feedstock Allocation: Supervise and assess the allocation of upstream feedstocks to existing plants and new development projects.

6.       Legal Reporting: Prepare reports on the implementation of legal provisions and clauses in five-year development plans and annual budget laws.

7.       Inter-agency Coordination: Foster collaboration with Oil Ministry units, petrochemical holdings, and regional companies to achieve industry-wide objectives.

8.       Project Evaluation: Assess and prioritize major projects to optimize financial resource allocation.

9.       Data Analysis: Collect and analyze company performance data to generate fundamental and strategic industry reports.

10.   IT Infrastructure: Modernize IT systems and safeguard critical information.

11.   Technical and Economic Reviews: Conduct technical and economic evaluations of upstream and downstream projects, prioritizing value chain completion and maximizing production.

12.   Export Planning: Strategize the transition from crude oil exports to refined derivatives, ensuring maximum value-added production.

13.   Product Prioritization: Analyze petrochemical products for market appeal to guide development strategies.

Alimorad is expected to lead NPC’s Planning and Development Directorate with innovation, teamwork, and comprehensive planning to streamline organizational processes and meet strategic goals.
